Live Illustration Services:

 

1. Booking and Payment:
 
A non-refundable 20% deposit is required to secure the booking of live illustration services for an event. The remaining balance is due 4 weeks before the day of the event, prior to the commencement of services.
​
2. Cancellation Policy:
 
In the event of cancellation by the client, the non-refundable deposit will be retained by the artist.
 
If this agreement is terminated by the clients less than fourteen days before the wedding date, the full fee shall be due. This applies regardless of the reason for the cancellation. In the event of cancellation by the Artist, the full amount will be returned to the client within 7 days.

3. Illustration Process:
 
The artist will arrive at the venue approximately 40-60 minutes before the scheduled start time to set up equipment and materials.
 
Clients are responsible for providing a suitable space for the artist to work which may include the provision of a 4-5ft table, a chair and an electrical point.
 
For ceremony illustrations, the client will be responsible for informing any celebrant/registrar/religious leader that the artist will be taking photographs during the service. The artist will refrain from using flash photography or the taking of photographs when the client is signing any legal documents, such as a marriage schedule or document.
 
The artist will commence illustrating guests according to the agreed-upon schedule and aims to complete approximately 8-10 single illustrations per hour.
 
The number of guests illustrated at the event will be limited to 10 per hour booked.
 
Any illustrations remaining after the event, will be completed in the studio and sent out to the client within 10-18 working days.
 
The artist will adopt a first-come, first-serve approach when illustrating. Guests will be informed that they can only appear in one illustration and that groups of more than 3 people will be finished in the studio after the wedding.
 
Any group illustrations which do not include a single family unit, must be paid for. Please contact the artist after the event for payment details and information. Illustrations will not be completed until payment is made.

4. Travel Costs:
 
If the event is situated over 70 miles from the centre of Carlisle, UK (or 100 miles for the Premium and VIP packages), the Client agrees to reimburse the Artist for travel expenses at a rate of 48p per mile.
 
Travel costs will be calculated based on the round trip distance between the event location and the centre of Carlisle. Additionally, if the event location requires travel exceeding 2.5 hours each way, the client agrees to pay the artist a fee for accommodation. This is currently charged at £100 per night due at the time of the deposit.

5. Additional illustrations:
 
Clients have the option to pay for additional illustrations, to be completed in the studio, after the event. Please contact the artist for details and pricing, as these may vary depending on the number of people to be illustrated and the size required.
 
Completed illustrations will be posted out to the client within 10-18 working days, depending on the number of people to be illustrated.

6. Promotional Use:

 

The Artist reserves the right to photograph the illustrations created during and after the event and utilise them for promotional purposes, including but not limited to, social media posts, website galleries, promotional materials, and portfolio showcasing.
 
By entering into this Agreement, the Client consents to the Artist's use of these images for promotional purposes without further compensation or notification. If the Client wishes to opt-out of having their illustration used for promotional purposes, they must notify the Artist in writing prior to the event.

7. Copyright and Intellectual Property:
 
The artist retains all copyright and intellectual property rights to the illustrations created during and after the event.Clients are granted a non-exclusive license to use the illustrations for personal purposes only. Commercial use without the artist's consent is strictly prohibited.

8. Liability and Indemnification:
 
The artist is not liable for any damages or injuries occurring during the event.Clients agree to indemnify and hold harmless the artist from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising out of or related to the event.

9. Governing Law:
​
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England.
 
Any disputes arising under or related to this Agreement shall be resolved exclusively by the courts of England.
